Why is that important? Spend three months of the year there, but not more.
I've many interests at home. The weather is not one of them.
Well, I think it is.
If everything goes really pear shaped after independence then it won't really affect you day to day.
Like many up there the idea of independence appeals, however, clearly there is no way of making it pay.
In fact Sturgeon is now saying that Scottish independence should not be reliant on the Scottish economy .
Sounds like she has been out on a hearty breakfast with Juncker

An independent economy would be a very different one that exists today as it services the whole of the UK. But I've not read the whole story so can't comment. Link please?

OK, even if this is true, once the UK has withdrawn its financial support, how will Scotland make itself pay?
Even if they slash all the unnecessary pen pushers and get rid of everything you say they provide to the UK, it won't allow them to pay their own way.

They'll first live within their means. Through that experience you'll be independent rather than dependent. You might be independent on paper but it'll take more than a few years to achieve. I believe Scotland is becoming more and more energised to face that challenge.

Of course they will.
As I said you personally won't be there to see the effects.
If this is taken away, as well as any other UK funding, what state do you think Scotland will be in then?
Pretty much a basket case IMO.
Although, I'm sure Sturgeon and Salmond will make a mint out of it personally :
Maybe they should enlist Georgie Osbornes help, he's good at austerity measures and reducing deficits.
The Scotsman. Quite literally the worst excuse for a paper. I'd not believe anything they'd print in that rag. Like an extension of the Tory graph. Its changed owners so many times, staff are miserable, only a matter of time before it's in receivership.
It seems to me the SNP are doing a better job getting spending under control than the Tories over the past five years. If these trends continue...

Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone
The entire press focuses on this like it's the only commodity on offer. Only ever considered a bonus to the country. Even still Westminster squandered the oil wealth long ago.
