The arguments get weaker and weaker and then, perhaps, they'll just fade away.

Now that England has gone to war in the Middle East, the pro-indy parties will get stronger and the arguments will get stronger for indepenence.

The SNP peaked in 2011 when they reached 40%, they're now languishing around the mid-twenties. Looks like as happens with most populist parties they were a flash in the pan.

It is good to see that at last we English can pick a fight. If you get independence you can go back and invade Iraq again

So according to that we would take 5 seats from the LibDems doubling our current total.

This is Westminster voting intentions, I'm sure Scotland wide the SNP are 20+ points ahead of Labour. It will be interesting to see the latest figure to see if there is change due to the referendum.

On this data the number of seats won in Scotland would be

                    CON 4 (+3), LAB 41 (+0), LIB 3 (-8), UKIP 0 (+0), NAT 11 (+5).

...that's what the Québécois used to say, but they got devo and eventually everyone got a bit bored with the rabid nationalists.
