because any self-respecting SWP or militant tendancy member will tell you, talk about 'the revolution'. Never talk about what comes after the revolution
that way, the dreamers can all have their own little dream

Cameron would do, nice cherry on top of the independence cake.

I agree that the doomsday tactics are bonkers. But there are a few things that are real:
          1. There will be no CU
          2. Entry into the EU will most likely be via Article 49.
          3. The Yes campaign have ignored the realpain that will follow a Yes vote.

In fairness - the banks are keeping schtum on a lot of the possible implications of a Yes vote. I guess some of us on here will have been signing NDAs for contingency planning over the last few weeks.

If you want to use the UK pound, watch out for the increased interest rates. Which, in case you didn't realise, you'll have no control over.

Don't see the logic, they already provide a service. Sounds like more scare stories to me.

Oh sorry, though it said 2:20 from St Andrews.

Might be a scare story, but I guess there are three factors that could drive up prices:

                    1. Reduction in economies of scale, as new corporate entities have to be set up in Scotland serving smaller population.
                    2. Sparser population could lead to higher maintenance costs for remote communities being shared between Scottish client base (if a single pricing structure across Scotland is to be maintained), rather that across UK client base.
                    3. Less competition is smaller suppliers withdraw from Scottish market.

Take a look at phone / mobile / broadband prices in the Republic of Ireland. It's certainly a risk, or do you think there is no risk?

People are talking as if the BOE will adjust interest rates just to make the scots squirm and punish them.
I think there is a 1% chance that this will never happen
