They don't want to get involved because they want to alienate customers. Not really Rocket science. Even the banks are releasing as little as they can possibly can for the same reason.

Probably doesn't help when you have Jim Sillars (always a t1t) threatening a backlash against anyone supporting a 'No'.
You missed the point. Heywood isn't a politician. He's the top civil servant and, as such, is supposed to keep out of politics.

Also, Cameron said he wasn't going to get involved as it was for the Scottish people to decide. That was the reason he gave for not debating with Salmond on the TV. He's flown in and out of Scotland on an RAF jet to give speeches in offices without speaking to a single person on the street. He makes sure the TV cameras are there though. I know he's playing politics but he's a coward for refusing the TV debates because he knew Salmond would wipe the floor with him.

Well, because Article 48 allows the rules to be changed and it requires unanimity so, if like the Belgians and the Italians, the Spanish say no and that clause 49 needs to be used then that's what will most likely happen. It doesn't matter why the say No, they just have to say it. Salmond stamping his little feet isn't going to make the magic happen. And the Spanish Foreign minister is most likely the guy who will be doing the voting.....

errr that's totally incorrect. Sorry. It has to be agreed by ALL members, and, as of today that is not the case.

The Catalans had 2 million in a march for independence last week. Haven't seen a peep on the BBC about it. You would think it would be of interest as we are having our independence referendum.

Europe's biggest rally ever? Up to 2 million Catalans march for independence ? RT News

To be fair that's more than newsworthy, but for a very long time I've known the BBC are far from unbiased.

Will an independent Scotland have the BBC on different terms? Their services are sold widely abroad so no reason the Scots couldn't use the same and abandon the absurd BBC tax. For that matter I doubt the BBC could reasonably try to levy their arm twisting tax in another country.

This just in. They've signed a vow!

David Cameron, Ed Miliband and Nick Clegg sign joint historic promise which guarantees more devolved powers for Scotland and protection of NHS if we vote No - Daily Record

PS: either Nick Clegg needs to use a better biro, or he has a really shaky hand.

...it does reinforce the article 49 entry I'm afraid.

If EU entry took 5 years would you still vote Yes

If EU entry could only be achieved under Article 49 and took 5 years, would you still vote Yes?
