Wings Over Scotland | A letter from Quebec

"Here, the term “Night of the Long Knives” was used to refer to the night of November 4, 1981, when the Prime Ministers of Canada and its provinces agreed in complete secrecy to sign the patriation of the Canadian Constitution – and did so, literally and purposefully, behind Quebec’s back. In the end, the much hyped “offers of extra powers” and “position to dictate terms” amounted to nothing.

To this day, the Canadian Constitution lacks Quebec’s signature. We are still in a constitutional limbo more than thirty years after our first referendum. However, all things considered, these are technicalities"
A real letter from someone in Quebec, you say? Gulp!

      You're wrong (again).

Getting away from Westminster is what is best for Scotland.

The orange order are having a pro union march this weekend so better together are ignoring the subject all together.

I think it is like when they decided not to use mustard gas in the second world war. Nobody wanted to open that tulip can up.

The Scottish people don;t have a single interest, so it's unlikely to be best for all of them. It may well prove to be best for most of them.

            Yep

You don't have to read it, of course, but it shows how Scotland will be treated if it returns a No vote.

William Hague (who was sacked from the FO for being the minister who said there would be a CU after a yes vote) has said "Giving Scotland more powers if it votes No is not government policy".

You're talking about inviduals. I'm talking about Scotland as a whole.
