So it's as I suspected? A lie to get the voters through the door, and then go ahead with the real plan.

Ok add another 20, they will get jobs elsewhere. Wonder if William Wallace had people asking "If I fight for freedom might I lose my job", fecking sad pathetic bunch the No voters. a disgrace.

That's trillions of pounds scots, so entirely feasible.

Errrr what about the peoploe who just don't want to be in an Independant Scotland, who are quite happy being British, who see this bizarre nation as model for cooperation? For those people who don't buy into your understaning of what it is to be Scottish?

Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind.

So about 25,000 jobs lost, but against that the William Wallace line.

However, you conflate independence with freedom. For Ireland in 1920, this made sense. Irish people were oppressed for being Irish. However, Scottish people are not obviously oppressed for being Scottish. Do you see the difference?

The Scottish working class are oppressed for being working class, the same as the English working class. I would suggest that there is significantly more commonality of interest between a Scottish call centre worker and an English call centre worker than there is between a Scottish call centre worker and a Scottish owner of a call centre.

So by all means, see independence as an opportunity to campaign for a fairer society: I think you'll make a good go of it, but to see this as liberty is a bit silly, and to brand those who disagree with you as a disgrace is just plain anti-democratic bullying.

...William Wallace lived over 700 years ago and didn't have an iPad. Times have changed just a wee bit - although nationalism in all it's petty guises has not.

Freedom is an eternal thing, we are ruled by an elite from London who think nothing of storing nukes near our biggest city.

More English working class kids go to university than Scottish working class kids now. The SNP sacrificed 130,000 college places to pay for free tuition fees which were a great way of getting people on the first rung of tertiary education.

Some social justice from the party of fairness.

Swings and roundabouts, isn't it? More place, but expensive, or fewer places but cheaper. A perfectly reasonable decision to devolve. But I'm not sure where William Wallace fits into this.

Do you think that when you're ruled from Edinburgh, it will be by an elite?
