David Cameron makes plea to voters

Oh lets have a read.. I says. And it turns out it's a speech to the CBI at a conference in Glasgow.

It's the kiss of death to the no campaign ......Cameron doesn't realise what an obnoxious @£$£@ he is!

Obnoxious how? because he is English?
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

Of course not. Obnoxious, where do I begin? You might not see it living in the South. From my seat out of the country every Brit, Scot or not, cringes when his face appears in the media. There's no interest in the welfare of the electorate for him, only big business. If you don't find that behaviour obnoxious.

Deeply elitist UK locks out diversity

Scotland votes Yes. No Salmond on the telly ...Yay... And what remains of the UK will swing to the right. UK will leave the EU after they do a "deal" with Scotland. It will be a great place to go on holiday as everything will be very cheap. UK will go from strength to strength as we invest in infrastructure, slash government spending, reduce taxes and compete internationally. Socialism will finally be truly dead and buried in the UK.
So, in the 'rest of the UK' you are running a massive, but secret budget surplus and have no outstanding debt, other than that is being swallowed up by Scotland.

Thank ***** you told me that. I'd better vote 'No' now....

Rubbish. The oil fields will be decided by internationally agreed lines which puts 91% of the current oilfields in Scottish waters. The infrastructure was developed by private money from the oil companies and not the UK government.

Not to mention that rUKs GDP will go down 10% when Scotland is independent.

On the other hand when you look at the crime, welfare and drug problems in Scotland I'm not so sure they have the sort of ethos the Norwegians have.
Behind all the chippy posturing from the Scots on this site along with their clouded optimism lies an opportunity for a country to become like Norway. It is an interesting place from the point of view of running an ordered and egalitarian society. The key of course is that the population buy into it. And whilst there are many unpleasant side effects (don't buy an expensive car otherwise the neighbours will get the revenue onto you) it works for the benefit of all.

I doubt very much that the socialist envy driven politicians that would run Scotland would have the competence or the humility to actually lead Scotland in this direction. it is already an unpleasant place for entrepreneurs and businessmen to become wealthy (the good ones come to London) so the omens for wealth creation are not good.

My own fear is that Scotland will descend into a petty socialist state relying on handouts from the IMF (once it cannot borrow). Corruption will be rife and it will end up being bought out by an Albanian sovereign fund.

If I were the petty Scots on this site with their own substantial earnings I would be more concerned about who they give their new found power to rather than showing off their inferiority complex by using the Yes vote to score points over the English.

Wow ! and when they come begging back to us to bail them out of poverty they will add less than 1% to the UKs GDP

Make no mistake, they will be out to line their own pockets if they get a yes vote. Cronyism is rife up there too, just as it is in Westminster. They're just pissed off that it's Cameron's mates who are getting rich, not them.
