My inkling is that within 6 months of a Yes vote 70% of voters will be pissed off as they discover that the real reality bears no example to Salmond's promised fantasy.Originally posted by Troll View PostWhich ever way it goes approx 50% of the Scottish voters will be pissed off - not sure that is anyway to proceedmerely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

As a member of the audience said last night, "If we're better together, why aren't we better now?" To which there was a roaring cheer.Originally posted by CloudWalker View PostBetter together I say
Excellent question. The UK is one of the richest nations on the face of the planet. So why is our country so unequal, socially and financially?"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

And that's assuming it is Salmond. The plan IIRC was to have an election before independence properly happens, which means it might end up being Scottish Labour in charge (whoever that is I've no idea). And does anyone know what their policy is on currency, debt, oil revenues etc. etc.?Originally posted by tractor View PostIt's actually worse than a waste of time.
Because no one knows what Salmond will be able to negotiate following a Yes vote should it happen, no one knows what they are actually voting for other than a manifesto. And we all know what manifestos mean don't we?
What if Salmond cannot negotiate all he thinks he can and that he has promised?
The uncertaintly will remain for up to 18 months following the vote. Perhaps they should have held negotiations first rather than debates. Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment

Oh do behave the audience was mostly full of Yes voters, it's unequal because that's the way life is people do not want to work hard to subsidise others in the grand scheme of things and that's just human nature. Sure others will bleat on about a fairer society but when they're asked to fund it from their own pockets it's a different story.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostAs a member of the audience said last night, "If we're better together, why aren't we better now?" Wonder how that happened? Because at the start of the debate BBC said they selected equal numbers of No and Yes voters with about 20% who 'don't know'.Originally posted by The Spartan View PostOh do behave the audience was mostly full of Yes voters,"Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience".
