And I was pointing out that a fry up doesn't need to be made from tulip loads of the cheapest, crapest ingredients.

I don't think that one has to be a pretentious snob to choose to eat fairly decent quality food rather than tulipe.

A good fry up is a joy but the disgusting pile of crap pictured wouldn't count as a good fry up, only a tasteless grunt like you would think it did.

Hand made potato wedges = it's less hassle than making proper chips
Thich cut chips = it's easier than making thin cut chips
Skin on chips = and now we could not even be bothered to peel the spuds first
skin on potato wedges = we really are fookin bone idle.

It's not really a "fry up" if you use posh fancy ingredients though, is my point. The quintessential English fry-up IS a big pile of greasy food. If you want fancy ingredients, it's a cooked breakfast

The fact you call it disgusting crap from a photo makes you pretentious. I'm not tasteless or a grunt, there IS a time and a place for big cheap portions though just as there is for fine dining. Just ask MudSkipper about McDonalds

Bulltulip - if you like that tulipe you truly are tasteless and a grunt.

Fair enough - big and cheap doesn't have to be total crap though.

Well obviously but I wouldn't class any fry up or cooked breakfast as fine dining.

Oi, leave me out of it!

(In France you can get a beer with your Big Mac Meal - very civilised).

Used to in Germany but they seem to have stopped that now, mind you, the beer was pish, Burger King was better. In fact a lot of Maccy D's are turning into McCafes now...although you can still get burgers
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

                    It was taken in Leeds

The photo was taken by me in Leeds in 2010. The pub was The Palace, which is on Eastgate, and it was a standard pint ot Tetley's bitter. Here's the original photo: https://flic.kr/p/8paMi5

                    Cheers!
