ThisOriginally posted by Alias View PostSamsung's are good phones but the battery life is shockingly bad...dont think anything has come close the the iphone battery life so far that I have seen under heavy use...
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the battery life is appalling, literally dead by about 1pm with minimal use. I now have to leave it plugged in charging at my desk all day an even then it will be dead again by about 11pm in the evening after leaving the office.
Not sure I'd get another Samsung if the battery life isn't improved (even bought a new battery and made no difference)Comment

That might just be part of iOS 8. Need to wait and see if it's iPhone 6 only.Originally posted by oracleslave View PostWhy not. That whole health angle to it looks interestingComment

Mine cost £27 with Clubcard vouchers (£100 in reality).Originally posted by DiscoStu View PostI have a Motorola Moto G. It was ~£150 to buy and I now pay about a tenner a month for a sim only contract with more minutes and data than I'll ever use.
For what it costs it's a great phone, would definitely recommend.
Battery lasts 3 days too. Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment

Still by invitation only I'm afraid. My mate's got one and it's a lovely phone. Larger than the usual though, but still sits okay in a pocket.Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostDepending on when your contract finishes, they may be able to have made enough to meet demand by then.I'm Spartacus.Comment

Assuming you don't want to waste time learning a new system and paying a whole new set of apps for a different eco-structure the 5c can be bought fairly cheaply.
EE had the 32gb version for free on a £25 a month contract last weekend. As a sim only contract is £15 or so its only £10 a month for the phone...merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

I am a blackberry loyalist extremist. I had the blackberry bold 9900 until it started to really crawl.... Now on the BB Q10 and could never switch to these annoying touchscreen efforts. Primary functions of a PHONE:Originally posted by Bacchus View PostDoes anyone produce decent phones with real keyboards these days?
I am a died in the wool blackberry luddite, but current unit has given up on battery life (had it a year and it was a hand me down then so not shedding any tears), I am thinking of getting a Q5 (poor man's Q10) or even sourcing an older v7 unit (I like the track-pad) but will happily listen to recommendations of other cukkers with fat fingers that don't work on touch screens...

Q10 does it better than any other phone and I can't understand why this hasn't caught on. I am currently typing on a KEYboard. It has keys and I don't need to look
at the keyboard while I am typing. Same goes for my Q10. Touchscreens make me sick.
