Where exactly did you get the bit about Alex Salmond being crowned king ? It's not the first time you've said it, so would absolutely love to see your source material.

The chances are, Alex Salmond would never even be Prime Minister (or whatever it would be called) of an independent Scotland. Scotland would not become independent the day after the referendum. The process would take around 18 months. The final part of which, would be an election.

I think the point remains as originally mooted. A significant percentage of those Scots surveyed have revealed themselves to be habitual, but very shallow, complainers, whose principles can be easily bought. Perhaps Putin should offer them a few quid each to join Russia?
