Anyways Salmond took such an absolute booting on the first debate I think yes will be less than 35% and be in that 2:1 territory which will mean this wont happen again for a generation or more.

Which is good as I am ****** sick of the whole thing.

The former. This is from The Guardian...

"It would be wrong, though, to conclude that the people of England want their own referendum in order to try to hold Scotland in the Union against its will. The opposite would be closer to the truth. Another recent poll, by YouGov for Prospect, indicated that only a small minority of English voters would be all that bothered by a break-up. Most were relaxed, and rather a lot positively embraced, the idea of a divorce. By 52% to 32%, English voters favoured either maximum devolution for Scotland or independence – a bigger margin of support for the SNP prospectus than there is in Scotland itself."

Who most wants independence for Scotland? The English
      I'm Spartacus.

That's possibly one of the most retarded posts ever to appear on CUK (with the possible exclusion of any contracting advice posted by Psychocandy).

I have to salute your use of insults over any logic, but I'm afraid that doesn't make you any more retarded than your usual CUK poster
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

do you think King Alex will enjoy the ride?

An Independent Scotland will be a lot of hard work and may not succeed, maybe he has realised staying as first minister with a better deal from Westminster is a better option.

OK, how about, "As First Minister of Scotland, Alex Salmond does not have the power to call for a UK wide referendum on Scottish Independence"

If the population of England is so keen to see Scotland leave the union, why don't you vote for a party who has just such a referendum as part of their manifesto at the next general election ? If English opinion is so strong, it shouldn't be a hard thing to do.

because its mostly an irrelevance, if Scotland go and succeed then they may spur us on to succeed if they fail well its just an excuse to tell more deep fried Mars bar jokes.

I suspect most English people believe it will fail and they will just get a bigger hand out next year.

You are clearly a dumb motherfucker.

Where exactly did you get the bit about Alex Salmond being crowned king ? It's not the first time you've said it, so would absolutely love to see your source material.

The chances are, Alex Salmond would never even be Prime Minister (or whatever it would be called) of an independent Scotland. Scotland would not become independent the day after the referendum. The process would take around 18 months. The final part of which, would be an election.

Try to stop talking shite about something you clearly know nothing about.

Scottish MPs have the power to vote on taxation that only affects England & Wales so it doesn't normally stop them sticking there neck in things that have nothing to do with them
