Also Ukraine has major gas pipelines running through it.
Also Ukraine has oil that can be fracked.
With me so far?
Good.
OK so exhibit a for the prosecutions case is as follows :
This is a phone call between Victoria Nuland and the Ukrainian ambassador to the US. In it they discuss the shape of the new government regime in Ukraine, and Victoria Nuland dismisses Klitcho as not having enough experience to run the country. So they are designing the new government of the Ukraine. That is the government of the Ukraine that is currently in power was designed by Victoria Nuland. The US foreign affairs minister. The US government installed a new regime in Ukraine after first detabilising the previous regime with the Maidan shootings.
So here is the phone call. Please listen carefully.

There was a violent revolution in Ukraine, supported by Nato. Votes were held. The east & Crimea didn't want to participate. Now the west thinks they have some hold over the east. Russia protects those groups. Ukraine government institutes conscription and wages war against the rebels in the east killing tens of thousands. Nato mulls reinforcing Ukraine.
Some people see this as warmongering landgrabbing destabilising ruskies being evil.
Russian kill-count somewhere around zero.
Meanwhile in the rest of the world...
Nato kills hundreds of thousands in Iraq for WMDs that didn't exist. Possibly millions more dead due to sanctions. Over a decade of war in Afghanistan to find a man supposedly hiding in a cave who might have had something to do with some terrorist activities. Functioning government of Libya overthrown. Rebellion in Syria supported & supplied - resulting in an impotent government that was previously functional. Rise of ISIS (due to all of those destroyed governments & the supplies & training given to head-chopping cannibals that nato called freedom-fighters) cutting throats & burning people alive by the tens of thousands.
Nato kill-count: brazillions.
The consequences of one of these two sides' actions makes me feel far less safe then I did before. The other's doesn't bother me very much.
That's the consequences I'm referring to. When it comes to aggression in Ukraine - it's clearly the fascists in Kiev.
I don't see it getting any better with this lot running the show:

Great argument you've got there, very well thought out and eloquently put.
Now I hope you've got got somewhere to hide because remember - Saddam Hussein's WMDs can be here in 45 minutes! And the way things are going ISIS will probably get their hands on them.
Have you got shares in some of the oil and weapons companies who are profiting from all of this? Or are you just a patriotic Brit who's willing to go down with the ship?"Is someone you don't like allowed to say something you don't like? Premise 1 : America destabilised the Ukrainian government to put their own puppet administration in. As they have previously in other countries.
Premise 2 : America started the war in Ukraine.
Premise 3 : Russia is finishing the war in Ukraine, playing the west like a fiddle and gaining some strategic geographical and financial advantages into the bargain.
Premise 4 : We are embarrasing ourselves in Ukraine and need to get the fook out.
These 4 central planks underpin the views of many enlightened individuals I have the good fortune of knowing. This includes JogOn.
If you wish I can PM you some links to support these 4 premises.

To add to the Nuland phone call here is a link (RT I'm afraid as you will not see this in the Western media) where Obama admits to 'brokering a power transition in Ukraine'
The American's are behind this whole thing, they have been for 20 years and have spent $5BN on it (google it).
It's America vs Russia all over again folks - this time on the Russian border
If you feel compelled to believe our lying politicians and media that's up to you. Good luck with that..."Is someone you don't like allowed to say something you don't like? If that is the case then we have free speech."- Elon MuskComment
