Do you think that if he changes his name to Netangoogle that Hamas would stop sending rockets?

Are you saying Palestinians want to leave and Isreal wants them to leave, and the conflict is the fault of Egypt?Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostLand gained from Jordan, and Egypt was ceded over to the Palestinians, in return for peace. The land was then used to site rocket launchers even closer to Israeli territory.

This turns out not to be the case. That's why there are so many Syrian refugees, for example. The reason there are far fewer Palestinian refugees is that they unable to leave. Not because the Israelis are preventing them (they'd be glad if they all left), but because the surrounding nations close their borders.

He's giving us the facts of why the Palestinians are still there.Originally posted by ZARDOZ View PostWhat is he trying to say then?

BTW do you think that the UK government should allow the refugees near Calais in France to come into the UK?"You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

It's not the same thing at all. The conflict has been going on for all of my lifetime and I'm middle aged. Israel has been condemned in 45 resolutions by United Nations Human Rights Council since 2006. So there is nothing just about what they are up to.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostHe's giving us the facts of why the Palestinians are still there.

So you are saying that the countries around Israel and Palestine shouldn't have sovereignty over their own borders?Originally posted by ZARDOZ View PostIt's not the same thing at all. No. You said "People defend their homes". I said "No they don't, they run away", citing the current Syrian conflict. I then pointed out the reason you don't see Palestinians leaving to have a decent life is that the surrounding nations don't let them - because it wouldn't suit their political purposes.Originally posted by ZARDOZ View PostAre you saying Palestinians want to leave and Isreal wants them to leave, and the conflict is the fault of Egypt?
Resolutions overwhelming brought by nations that would dearly love to see Israel utterly eliminated. While there are certainly human rights violations carried out by Israel, the number of UN resolutions is hardly a neutral measure.Originally posted by ZARDOZ View PostIt's not the same thing at all. Sadly, the Palestinian plight is useful to the Arab and Muslim nations, as it gives them a hate target that allows them 1) to increase their popularity with their own population "look at us, we're being nasty to the hated Israel and/or 2) to distract their own population from the fact their ruled by vicious and corrupt governments. The only way they want an end, is if it entails Israel taken off the map.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment
