Of course the role is advertised with set hours. I believe teachers are the same. The adverts forget to mention 10s of hours extra they must put in to succeed in their role. It's stupid really.
its like all those permies that do extra hours.

BBC News - Managers 'work extra day per week in unpaid overtime'

the reality is many people manage to do their work in the hours, some don't.

The conditions in the contract are all the government are responsible for. If the local school can't manage their staff they need to get a grip.

Remember we are quite involved in a number of schools and we see the time off teachers get as Mrs V minds their kids. We have a number of friends that are TAs. One was almost unemployable until forced back to work by the benefits office.

Not really sure where my wife, who is only employed as company secretary for our company, fits into a discussion on how many hours a TA works.

She makes PC look employable. 5 Kids by different fathers last worked (for a few months) in her teens, complained turned down new council house because it wasn't decorated, she was on the dole at the time. etc.

10:15 actually, I do have some standards you know.
I'm not even an atheist so much as I am an antitheist; I not only maintain that all religions are versions of the same untruth, but I hold that the influence of churches, and the effect of religious belief, is positively harmful. [Christopher Hitchens]

Sounds exactly like PC, except at least he took the initiative to get his father-in-law to do a bodged job of the decorating the house on the sly cash in hand.
