Despite applying online for quite a few, my two contract roles and my last permie role were all from an agent calling me. To my knowledge, none of the roles were advertised in any meaningful way.Comment

Applied for it on Jobserve, pimp turned me down straight away as not suitable. Contacted HR at client via LinkedIn. Got the role direct for more money than pimp was offering, almost 2 years later I am still there

The pimp did contact me about a month later with a 'role I would be perfect for' (which btw was less of a fit than the one he turned me down for!). I had great delight in informing him why I wasn't availableOriginally posted by d000hg View PostDid you send the pimp a bottle of champagne and an ironic thankyou note "I earn one of these everyday out of the money you would have made"?
