And sector. Still seemingly a reasonable amount of work in the traditional modules (MM, SD, etc, i.e., consultancy-type role and not just techie) in both Retail and Manufacturing, but if you're ABAP (I'm assuming so), perhaps not so much.Originally posted by Andy Hallett View PostDepends on which area of SAP, perhaps you could elaborate?
And as mentioned earlier, HANA is hotter than a greased fireball right now...but if you had that skillset, I doubt you'd even have the time to post here as you'd be too busy beating the agents off with a large stick (or more like they'd be trying to beat you off, if you catch my drift).Comment

checked on jobserve and there are 3 HANA contracts in the last seven days and HANA is listed as a nice to have, so not a particularly hot area

Good for you and your limited research on Jobserve. However my knowledge of the topic is based on reality.Originally posted by mrdonuts View Postchecked on jobserve and there are 3 HANA contracts in the last seven days and HANA is listed as a nice to have, so not a particularly hot area

My client is crying out for HANA resource but there seemingly aren't enough people out there yet. I guess it is still viewed as something of a niche area so the agents have been desperately putting the feelers out to see who they can get hold of.
I know of another company who has temporarily parked their HANA plans whilst they try and round up a decent enough team.
If that's not hot, then I don't know what you consider hot to be.Comment

i think most on here will agree that nothing on jobserve = no demand, especially if its supposed to be a mainstream productComment
