    Nope the break is because they are closed for a month so no client onsite to speak to. break started 16th dec for a month, I resigned 16th dec giving a month.

          Looks like he is equating a month to 4 weeks, Monday 16th Dec to 13th Jan, instead of 1 calender month?

            Nope he hasn't quite got the concept of:-

            Office closes 13 December office reopens 13 Jan.

            Unfortunately rather than resigning on the 13th December he resigned on the 16th. And while 14/15 December was the weekend the 14/15 Jan are weekdays....

            Its the schoolboy error of resigning on a Monday not a friday and the consequences of doing so.
