The 10 days option sound entirely reasonable. Half of your notice to the client and also not a killer for the new one. You can easily delay new contracts just by getting your contract checked by QDOS. Nothing is that urgent they will drop you just for a slight delay. It will take them longer to find someone new than it will to wait for the right guy so you you have some position power.

I would go in and tell them the situation, you got a new gig, you can do a 10 day handover and leave. I can't see they will be too unhappy with that, particularly when it's them that's caused this in the first place.

I would also kick your agent up the arse and ask why you are not getting all this information from him. Your contract is with him, not the client.

The agent. The ClientCo is not 100% happy but understands and is happy with me trying to be accommodating.

If they've let other guys you work with go already, isn't one of them available to act as your substitute for the first contract, whilst you bugger off to the new contract?

The client was about to bin you mid contract as well as the other contractors, and they agreed to let you go when you got a new role. Why are you even asking the question? You to do whats best for you and your company, you aren't just ditching the client mid contract with no notice for a higher rate elsewhere, you have every right to walk.

Look the poster didn't even think of reading his contract until I indicated refusing work or using a substitute in a previous post.

And the same poster that was going to 'Opt out' with the agent assuming it meant IR35.

You are trying to get out clean, that is commendable but given that they are kicking you out, you dont owe them a thing. Try to negotiate but dont lose the other one, if you get any grief I would suggest you don't look well, probably your back is gone, phone in sick and go to the other place and turn off your phone, they will soon get bored trying to chase you.
