Fake job adverts - is it legal?

I think it's more common to see "blended" job ads rather than outright fake ones. There's usually at least a grain of truth linking it back to one (or likely several) actual jobs.

I've seen more of that lately, particularly in the perm markets, advertising a huge salary range. Typically it will say the client will pay for the right level of experience. Nowadays what that really means is they will pay as little as they can get away with.

Nope, just trying to add a bit of common sense and reality to the discussion but I can see that isn't going to work. I shudder to think how badly you were abused at the hands of the meanie agents.

He doesn't like agents. He's just pointing out how the market works.

And as this is a public forum which people can find from Google in the first page of search results, if you post openly about a current contract or agent you can find yourself walked or at best reprimanded. It's happened to a couple of posters.
