    Professional CV Writing

    Hi All,

I did a quick search and I couldn't find anything on the forum about Professional CV Writing service. My CV has been amended many times over the past few years but not rewritten.

I am not very good at selling my self and thus thinking of getting it written for me.

Has anyone done this and if so please can you recomend any services?

    Thanks

    Nick

Just from reading your first post I can give you some positive advice before you cough-up for a "C.V. Writing service":

      Learn how to spell.

What I wanted was as I asked "Has anyone done this and if so please can you recommend any services?" and personal recommendations or experiances with getting your CV written for you!

I agree that I am the only one who knows what I do best but I am not very good at written english and I am not a recrutment expert so getting someone who have these skills would beable to help me create a CV that sells me.

I don't disagree that employers get a lot of CV's, if they spent 30 seconds on each one a better written Cv would be better that one written by a dyslexic techie that has a tendacy to woffle....

I am not being lazy but just trying to give my self the best chance I can.

            Sorry rant over

I've used one of these services and I guess that I would recommend it.

The best thing they do is make you question what is it you are selling and then go through your CV to see if you are presenting a coherent message.

So you have to do a fair amount of thinking it's not just a case of giving them a CV and getting it back in a nice layout and with no spelling mistakes.

You can do this yourself, if you're good at DIY why call a plumber? I looked at some examples of my DIY and picked up the phone!

Avoid Fuller CV at all costs. I cannot stress this enough. From personal experience.

The other side is communicating with me. I am getting the words "lesser" and "parasites".
