I've used one of these services and I guess that I would recommend it.
The best thing they do is make you question what is it you are selling and then go through your CV to see if you are presenting a coherent message.
So you have to do a fair amount of thinking it's not just a case of giving them a CV and getting it back in a nice layout and with no spelling mistakes.
You can do this yourself, if you're good at DIY why call a plumber? I looked at some examples of my DIY and picked up the phone!

What I wanted was as I asked "Has anyone done this and if so please can you recommend any services?"Originally posted by rurffy View PostHonestly, what do you want us to do about it ? You have to learn your self mate! - I wonder why people ask this question .
and personal recommendations or experiances with getting your CV written for you!
I agree that I am the only one who knows what I do best but I am not very good at written english and I am not a recrutment expert so getting someone who have these skills would beable to help me create a CV that sells me.
I don't disagree that employers get a lot of CV's, if they spent 30 seconds on each one a better written Cv would be better that one written by a dyslexic techie that has a tendacy to woffle....
I am not being lazy but just trying to give my self the best chance I can.
Sorry rant over
