    Sick

I have a contract that requires me to travel across Europe. The contract has no termination date. I have been feeling very sick of the travel and want to drop off. Can it be done? What if the managers dont agree and want proof from GP etc, which would be difficult to obtain because I am not sick in sense of ill / fever.

    How do I drop off?

Are you sick of the travel as in you don't want to do it any more and you find it a pain in the ass or.. are you genuinely ill and cannot travel? I am assuming you don't want to do it any more.

If you are not medically sick you cannot get a note saying you are. That is fraud.

Will you clarify for us are you medically sick or just can't be arsed?

          Are you an indentured labourer?

          When does the contract end?
Do you have a clause to give notice?
Do you have a right to substitute or sub-contract?
Do you have a force majeure clause?

And how long have you been doing the travelling for so far?

OP says 'contract has no termination date' which would imply a rolling contract. So just give notice and quit - you're not a slave.

What does the termination clause in the contract say?
Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.

This is why I asked about the indentured labour. If there is no termination date and he can't give notice, he needs a damn good human rights lawyer.
