    Hmm, the key thing I forgot to say - I have to go through an agent - they won't work without them. So this of course changes everything. They actually tried to offer me the rate they paid when I started out as a contractor with them all those years ago. Now the cheeky get of an agent has sent me a text message saying ring me after lunch. I DON'T THINK SO...

      Phone the client and say you have a preffered agent you work through.

      Then ring up an agent you know and offer them the work - as a billing service only - you'll supply the contractual terms.
