    Doing Nothing Beginning of Contract

Trying to get the ball rolling but the ball won't move, I think my keenness is pissing off the other contractors.
Tried phoning non-existent boss - no answer. Still on full pay but I'm literally pissing myself off as my hands are tied.

Keeping being a keen basa or lay of the gas until management gets in contact?

Just be happy siting here doing nothing or keep pressing people until the ball moves?

I don't like getting cash for nothing.

    What would you do...........

It's a changeover situation so politics are in play.

Keep you head down and wait for things to appear. If politics are in play you're really going to annoy people by trying to be clever.

Do the honest thing and cut your time to 1 or 2 days a week and bill for the same until the work picks up. You will move straight to the contractor top of the class. Happy client. Sorted.

I doubt my 3 colleges would be happy with me cutting there pay . In all honesty I would do this in a heartbeat if it was just myself i had to worry about.

I don't work in IT guys so it's a different ball game.

Try getting used to it, while you can. You may get to like it.

Keep your head down, it's too early to be uber-helpful - the work will come.

Yeah there is three companies in play one being the company which lost the contract which I am on so they are not being very helpful (if there documents are in order).
Sitting here on the money I am on doing fck all is bothering me, then why you try to get things moving it won't !
Just being so easy to lay off contractors is part of the worry.......... though the company seem great and not axe wielders - they do need us in place.

I would question your suitability to contracting. My aim in life is to get money for nothing.
