And put the kettle on when they get there.

I'm sure I've heard of such a thing before, clearly the would-be hitchhikers haven't.

Did this and because of the places where we are going, the price is over £150 a head, even thought it's weeks away.

so its cheaper for one of them to hire a car.

Its not your problem its the tea companies. Apologise and say that you can't help because you're going up the night before and leave it for them to deal with it.

How many resource are we talking about - is your vehicle large enough to accommodate them or are you using the 2 seater that day?

By all means be as helpful as possible but do not let them use you like this.

I take it that they have told you that they will pay your mileage costs from your office to the venue via Head Office.

It is the Client responsibility - not yours

In my head it's not the ClientCo's responsibility, it's the tea maker. They are providing services in the same manner as MyCo to the Client, it's just that MyCo's employees have the wherewithall to get themselves to the locations requested in the statement of works. And there are of course three Tea makers needing a lift.

If you do end up giving them a lift, make sure they bring a bucket; that bit where they spit the tea out after each mouthful could make a right old mess.

So get the Chief Tea Maker to pull his finger out and get his staff moved - if they cannot drive, tough, it is his problem for recruiting staff that do not have the necessary skills to fulfill the role.

WHS. When I originally read this my first impression would have been just to say no to stick one in the eye of the onshore resources that come over an expect company buses and shuttle buses to be put on to get in to work. They do here.
