Personally i think all developers are architects as we all have to design parts of the system, seniority determines the size of compenents/subcomponents the developer designs. I dont think you can class yourself as an architect without also being a developer as to effectively design a system, you have to be intamtely familiar with the technology it is being written in.Comment

I don't really feel the need to justify myself, but for the record I have over 10 years contract development experience. I was originally a lead developer on this project at inception but we needed someone to take a higher level view and workout the overall design, this is done in collaboration with the dev teams.
I'm just the guy that works out how all the smaller bits need to fit together and how they need to work. Its up to the dev teams to decide the best way to implement. Call me what you want I'm sure I've been called worse!
We are using the latest version of the .net framework, ef - code first for orm, wcf, structure map, rhino mocks, team city for continual deployment git, for source control. We are also using Biztalk as a Service Bus hoping to migrate up to the esb toolkit at some point.
Rates - and for this I apologies £300 to £350 per day depending upon experience...
If anyone is interested please pm me.
Thanks for the pm's so far I will get back to you over the next few days.Comment
