    It's doing businesses. Not good business to be fair but business. They want to get their way, you don't want it so act accordingly.

    I guess if you are a wilting wall flower unable to handle hardnosed business then I guess you could see it as that. If you do see it as that it might be best not mentioning it so your peers don't think you are a wet lettuce. HTH

    May I remind posters that the reason this thread still exists is that you have direct experience of these agencies, your posts are based on facts and can provide proof that these facts/events occurred.

    The thing is there are certain sectors where you can't opt out so the agency can tell you you have to opt out but legally it is unenforceable regardless.

    Plus even if you are forced to opt out there is nothing stopping you negotiating payment and handcuff clauses.

    If you are near the end of the contract politely point out why it is irrelevant.
