How do I buy shares in a company listed on the Tawain stock exchange?

How do I go about it? Is there a good online broker you can go through?

Any advice would be very much appreciated. Diversifying my portfolio and all that!

Buy a fund. I did that through Fidelity and invested in China and India last year.

      try squaregain (formerly comdirect)

They do most markets - at least US, Australia.

My Swiss broker does any market you care to mention, but then that's probably not much use to you.

Your regular broker should be able to do it.

I doubt you'll find an online broker. An alternative might be to see if the stock is also listed on NYSE in the form of ADR's then you should be able to do it through most internet brokers.

Single company shares in Taiwan are probably not for the risk averse. I would think that unless you have a very large portfolio that a collective fund might be a better bet.

If you're looking for something online, then maybe http://www.iii.co.uk/ would be what you're after.

Taiwanese blue-chip shares (like other markets Malaysia, Korea) ought to be traded internationally, so you could buy them on any exchange eg. London.

Other than that funds are probably the best bet.
            I'm alright Jack
