I'm looking to move to Sheffield, is anyone aware of Contracting agencies in Sheffield who work for Financial Institutions in the area?

Did a short stint in Sheffield some time back but it came from a London agency. Your best bet will be to use Jobserve, set Sheffield location and set Finance industry.

Can u tell I hated it there!!??Comment

Highly unlikely you'll find much in Sheffield, its just not that sort of place. Think inbred chavs, old bag women and immigrants. You dont need many contractors in a socialist paradise. Consider Leeds and Manchester is my advice.
P.S. I was born and raised in Sheffield and most of my family still live there, so I know what Im talking about.Comment

If you are moving to Sheffield, then you have within an hours commute West Yorkshire, Manchester as well as some of the East Midlands such as Nottingham and Derby. You should be able to find something within that area if not in Sheffield itself.
I did a 1 year gig in Sheffield and enjoyed it.
Good luckComment

Despite the fact that Stek has used one of the dreaded U instead of you in an earlier post he's correct.
To get to Sheffield from Halifax takes a minimum of 1.5 hours at rush-hour due to the massive traffic on the M62 and M1. It can take a good hour to get to Leeds from here a grand total of 16 miles. Sheffield can be a real pig to get into and out of as well.Comment

Sheffield to Leeds is actually quicker and cheaper by train if you go for a season ticket.
Traffic into Leeds is a Nightmare and parking is expensive as well."Being nice costs nothing and sometimes gets you extra bacon" - Pondlife.Comment
