So, again, what differentiates you from the hundreds of others out there, and the thousands of offshorers who have QTP/Loadrunner and web experience? In my current contract, we take a few screenshots and send them and the urls off to India to get the automated stress testing done.Originally posted by ndumbane View PostThanks for the input. Much appreciated. Among other skills set, i have QTP/Loadrunner and web testing experience. Obviously, I can not list on the forum all my qualifications :> I really do appreciate your feedback.
Have a great day !

Qualifications in testing and contracting are only as useful as the experience to back them up.Comment

Lot of assumptions.
Hello,
You seem to be making a lot of assumptions. Having QTP/Loadrunner and web experience seem not to be enough for you
. I forgot to mention that I am really good at it :> !
Love the vibe on this forum :> !
Have a good day !

Not making assumptions - trying to get a reasonable level of understanding of your skillset.Originally posted by ndumbane View PostHello,

Unfortunately, you appear to think that we're blessed with psychic powers and can provide advice such as whether a £400pd rate is reasonable, without you providing any information.
If that's the level of info that you provide to your current clients (and, let's face it, you're probably being oversold to the client by Accenture anyway) then good luck with that first contract.
And no, just having QTP and some web experience is not enough. But I thought I made the reason why clear in a previous post (think: if it can be outsourced for a few pounds a day, why would a company pay you £400pd?)Comment

Thanks
Meridian,
I got into this forum, just to get a feel of the contract market in Europe and to see my chances. I know you are not psychic, but you are taking it to another level. Thanks for wishing me luck and wish you the same !
Take care and stay positive !

I don't think they are very good, in fact I'd say that your prospects are likely very poor indeed. Limiyed skillset, lack of local knowledge, currently a permie very far away, in a relatively dead market with very little niche qualities to offer. Add in that annoying false positivity and given the evidence so far in this thread a propensity not to listen very well and well, you're DOOMED!Originally posted by ndumbane View PostMeridian,

I think we need your cheery American optimism here to counteract these miserable sods. Stick around.Originally posted by ndumbane View PostMeridian,
