    Approvers on leave!!!!

Annoyed or what, comes to the end of the month and both of the managers who approve my timesheets are on leave!! and neither of them had the foresight to arrange a proxy approver before leaving.

I may be left with the last 2 weeks being left un-approved until they return in which case I will end up having to take those 2 weeks forward to next months invoice, End of September!!!

    Grrrrrrr!!!!

Am hoping I may be able to get it sorted, will keep you posted.

Same trouble I get with a client, only trouble is when they return from holiday they still refuse to sign - because they were not around to see if I was working. Eventually signed agent conveniently forgets to pay each and every invoice. Pressure has to be put to get every invoice paid. Next week this agent will be dumped in nearest wasteland when I move on.

Did you opt out of the agency regs? I'd just submit them to the agency, unsigned along with an invoice and then fight it out from there.

This happens from time to time, unless you have concerns about the client or agency, why sweat for the sake of a few weeks. You would be stuffed going direct and if you are living hand-to-mouth, that's probably a mistake.

In many companies people on leave are still reachable, and even check their business email. Why not send an email to both of them and ask them to let you know who to go to for a signature. Or if you know them well enough, phone them and ask.

Just because you're on holiday doesn't mean you're missing, as a permie in a management role.

This happened to me last year. However I sent the invoice as normal, after a phone call from the agent about why timesheet wasnt signed he chased it and got it sorted.

                  Its all online!!

Not a matter of getting paper signed but getting this system to allow someone in the office to approve my online timesheet.

If was paper would be easy.

Have spoken to the agent and they WILL NOT pay without the online approval having been done.

I'm two weeks behind for the same reason. It's a PITA, but it happens. Always good to arrange at least two people who can sign your timesheets; I've been in the situation of having only one person authorised to do it who then goes away for 3 weeks.

If they're refusing to sign you need to walk.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.
