Has anyone had any dealings with this company

    Hi,

I was contacted recently by someone from a company called "New Company Services Ltd" who say they provide Business Intelligence people to a number of large clients.

Problem is their website www.ncs-it.co.uk does'nt match their companies house details and does'nt actually give the full company name anywhere.

When asked for some proof, they say they'll send it but it never arrives.

I'm a bit nervous about them.

    Thank you

If you speak to them again, point out that their website is illegal - they should have their company registration number somewhere on their site and I can't find it...

And no privacy policy? That's a pretty big marker for a company dealing in BI, I would have thought...

Local directory searches turn up an address for them :

      New Company Services Ltd
      2 Richmond Aston Drive,
      TIPTON,
      DY4 8GD

which matches their companies house entry.

The registrars address for the website gives the same Tipton address.

      Domain name:
      ncs-it.co.uk

      Registrant:
      NCS Ltd

      Registrant type:
UK Limited Company, (Company number: 3882316)

      Registrant's address:
      2 Richmond Aston Drive
      Tipton
      DY4 8GD
      United Kingdom

      Registrar:
      1 & 1 Internet AG [Tag = SCHLUND]
      URL: http://registrar.1und1.info

      Registered on: 19-Feb-2008
      Renewal date: 19-Feb-2012

      Registration status:
      Renewal request being processed.

      Name servers:
      ns59.1and1.co.uk
      ns60.1and1.co.uk

Interestingly the company that registered the domain name is not the same. NCS Ltd is listed on companies house but with a different address.

      NCS LTD
      5 BRANDON ROAD
      RAMSGATE
      KENT
      UK
      CT12 6LX
But the Company number in the Domain Regsitration matches that of New Company Services Ltd. Odd, but explainable if they simply abbreviated it for the registration. Naughty because there is a company by the name of NCS Ltd that is nothing to do with them.

On the plus side their accounts are up to date and they also had £78,633.00 out of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust last year according to an FOI request.

For a guess the Tipton adress is theor registered office and the Wolverhampton one is where they actually do business. It appears that it should read Marshalls Industrial Estate not just Marshalls Estate, which is not quite as glamorous.

Premium rate number on thweir contacts page as well. Nice.

I think it's a Sky number with it starting 08703.
