I really like Newcastle - lots to do and a real going out culture. Not that fond of southerners mind you...

I like the place, very compact city with lots to do.

It has plenty of grotty places like every UK city, but I've always found it friendly and the folks approachable. Admittedly as a Yorkshireman I'm not seen as too much of a foreigner to them

Couldn't understand a word anyone said when I was there
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

There is an old joke: Paris is closer to London than Newcastle and the Parisians are easier to understand.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

A great place to work and live! Have worked via contracts on and off for about 5 years there.

Always on the lookout for contracts on the toon!
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!
