Which means I end up without any referees because they are too cheesed off with all the cold calling. I only have a few referees, there are hundreds of thousands of agents. Also those looking for work might apply for 20 jobs to get one, can the referee really be expected to answer 20 sets of references just to get one role?
I think the agencies need a way to fix this. And it should certainly involve me receiving a signed non-exploitation agreement.
There is a VAST precedent of agents who have none of these values.
When I have to reference I ensure the contractor arranges the appointment with the referee on my behalf. There will be a bona fide reason for me to reference, and it won't be to tout for business.
Fortunately I don't need to reference often in my line of work.Comment

I need a sharper font.

I changed it to Arial, btw..."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."
