    Job Search Site Tips

Any tips on how to contstruct a search on say, JobServe?

Is say, Manchester, Contract + 25 Miles enough. Or is it worth searching for North West, Contract, +25 Miles, and throw Lancashire etc in the mix??

Or should the first query grab everything?

    Apart from:

    Jobserve
    CWJobs
    Jobsite
    TotalJobs
    TheITJobBoard

Are there any more decent sites?

    Thanks.

To be honest, I just type in the keywords I need, pick Latest and then go for it. Why restrict yourself on area for those few extra jobs that might show.

If you are looking every day or two and filtering by keywords then there really arent so many jobs on there that warrant doing a filter by location.

I do that and simply dont read the ads that say Yorkshire etc (I live in London)

I use the instant email alerts from jobserve.

I have a couple to pick up the main keywords I look for.

Then I use the CUK job search utility a couple of times in the morning and in the afternoon.

I don't get too neurotic about it doing it this way...

Is IT contracting really a place for people that can't construct a simple searches on the web or have the confidence in their efforts to not have to ask?
