Square One Resources; experiences?
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014 -
Yes - found them very good, seemed to know their stuff, IR35 friendly contracts, would work through them again given the chance.
And, IIRC, quick payment (but I may be making that up - it was 2+ years ago). -
Oh good; they're working in Holland too. Unfortunately some of the British agents have a bad reputation here, but what you say reassures me a bit.Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostYes - found them very good, seemed to know their stuff, IR35 friendly contracts, would work through them again given the chance.

Sq 1 are one of the better agencies, I've worked for them quite a few times including recently. They still pay weekly and on pretty much instant terms.
Disclaimer : this doesn't mean they won't take you to the cleaners, so treat with same caution as always.Comment

I've found them straight and upfront..."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

niggely bad experiences re start date. Agent making promises he wasn't in a position to.
I was in a hiring position at one stage and they sent some right dross over.
At the end of the day though I think they priced themselves out the "managed service" contract they were on and most of us got the boot.Comment

Quite well, thanks - they are bidding for the work (deadline tomorrow, decision next week), are quite confident of getting the work, and if they do, there is work for me there. Not entirely sure what the exact role is - I think / hope it's more team lead / architect / functional lead rather than coding for this one, but you never knowOriginally posted by rootsnall View PostFaQQer, How did the interview go ?

More trustworthy than most. Have worked with them both as contractor and hirer, and never had any complaints. Just make sure they're where you can see 'em.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

did 9 months through them last year, spoke to them a couple of times to get the contract and then once the week before it finished, never had to speak to anyone else as I never had a problem, and they paid weekly without failComment

Am about to give one of the agents there a call. My brother's worked with them on and off for years. Always been fine. Friendly with it.
I've dealt with them for interviews last year, didn't get the jobs but that was my issue not theirs.Comment
