    XMas cover

    Hi.

Just curious, is any of you willing to do christmas cover?
Give the state of the market, this could be your only contract this year
How do you go about finding such short contracts, the usual boards?

      Not a chance.

I determine when I'm not working for Christmas in January time, and stick to it.

I do full days only, there's nothing worse than being sent home at lunch time only to be told that you can't claim a full day.

I usually elect to work up to Christmas Eve. It's dead quiet in the office and I like the atmosphere in London on those last few (boozy) days. In the past I've come in and collected some easy coins for being around late December, but looking back it's best to take a good solid break until early Jan, preferably with some skiing lined up

I used to when I was a youngster, but I wised up when I found them taking the P. So I refused to help for the rest of my time contracting.

I don't ever stop whatever the day is.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
