Trying to write a clause stipulating minimum billing working away

Contract deals in terms of hourly rate. Trying to construct a clause which means when travelling to perform a new software release elsewhere in the world, a full day will be billed regardless if little work is done one day, or the day is spent travelling.

    So far:
The Supplier will unless otherwise agreed with the Client, charge a minimum of one standard working day for each day that the Consultant’s role requires him to travel to/from or provide services at a location where temporary accommodation is needed.
I'm fairly happy apart from the "temporary accommodation" phrase. I want it to basically say "any day he has to stay away from home or return from such locations, a full day will be billed", but 'stay away from home' is hardly formal language.

Last query on this contract, then I'll leave you alone I hope

The Supplier will unless otherwise agreed with the Client, charge a minimum of one standard working day for each day that the Consultant’s role requires him to travel to/from or provide services at a location other than that from which normal services are provided and where overnight accommodation is required. The location of normal services being defined in the standard terms and conditions of the contract.
covers you if you work from home or normally from a clients office and stay away but they want you to occasionally travel elsewhere.

OK cool. The normal site is defined in the contract elsewhere so that fits quite nicely. Glad my main gist was not too far off the mark.

      Thanks

Just my 2p but I would lose the bit about overnight accommodation. If you travel to or work from anywhere other than the 'normal' site you charge a full day.

Otherwise client says drive to the other side (3hrs) of the country and back for a two hour meeting and you only get to bill for 2 hours work.
