What counts as a good (daily) rate these days?

Oh I don't know, I guess IBM charge about £2500 so you should probably do the same I should think.
Or maybe you could provide some more information on what area/location/skillset/industry/experience/urgency you're on about.

I just went in with my lowest rate since about 1995 for something right on my doorstep. The client came back asking me to go lower
ps. so rates are tulip, unless you are in .Net then they are BOOMED !Comment

£750 per day seems like a good daily contracting rate these days, also if you can
get outside IR35 and get some people in to do half the work for you at
a muchl lower then that's even better!
