Just had a telephone interview for dba positon. The 2 indian guys doing the interview had really strong accents. It was embaressing how many times I had to ask them to repeat the question.

I somehow feel I won't get any further


Was interesting that the only reason they were looking for a Brit dba was the role now has to be SC cleared and they can't get it themselves. Role on more roles that need SC

Just to further poke fun at CB, I'm sure I saw one of those documentaries with Michael Palin (or possibly the Paul Merton one) where he was eating with Indians and they said it was disgusting in their culture for someone to put any contaminated utensil in a communal dish - they would not be able to eat from it.

Worrying that: what Chinese walls (no pun intended) will there be in place to prevent the non-SC cleared getting anywhere near the data?

May I suggest you take some time to learn how to speak with an Indian Accent. That's what they will be looking for when they decide to hire you.

Well I'm not SC cleared but they are willing to pay for somebody to become SC cleared. I've been through advanced police checks though to contract for a police force.
