A good mate was offered a job with the client through agency A at $500 a day take it or leave it. I advised the mate to ask the client about it. The client has now had agency B send my mate a contract for $850 a day. How much of a pi55 take is that now?

Complete pi55-take. Your mate has conned the client that a $500/day skill is an $850/day rarity and is fleecing them to the tune of $350/day. -

You could have put your mate forward at $800 a day and paid him $550 a day.My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment

And there are certain skills that will demand £800+ per day.
Large scale Programme Managers/Directors can easily command that kind of money - but only if they've a long history of delivery....and good references
