    www.freelancesupermarket.com reviews - should I be worried?

It appears someone has provided a review of me on www.freelancesupermarket.com

Not a terribly good one, relative to everyone else, either.

I'd love to know what contract was being referred to when I was reviewed, because I cannot work out when I performed in the way suggested. And how do I find out who wrote the review?

I only became aware of it because I was emptying my 'deleted' folder (it had been marked as 'spam' and did look like spam) and saw the word 'freelance'. Now I'm on the bench I am looking for things that might be useful. It was an email telling me I had been set up on the site when someone else provided the review. The email address used was the one I put on my CVs; it gets all the CV writing service spam and the like. Having resurrected the email even "Thunderbird thinks this message might be an email scam".

A search for the domain only returns adverts for the site elsewhere, and a discussion in CUK on using it to review agencies. It's one thing having a site for slagging off agencies, but this site is using my RealName. I can't even see a way to remove myself from there.

Anyone got any experience of the site? Views?

Should I just pay DodgyAgent £250 for a good review?

How about a Plan B: "The Good Review Auction Site" for buying reviews for sites like this and LinkedIn?

    don't worry about it

Are you saying someone just posted a review on there of you, and you didn't even setup a profile there?

If so, don't worry about it. If questioned just say since anyone can go on and review any one without any control, what's to stop everyone slagging you/praising you to high heavens.

Unless you did do a bad job....

Everyone there has a score of 12 apart from a few who have have scores of 38 trillion. My vote one of them is your culprit

If you find out who it is warn them that giving Blackened Biker a bad review will result in me mowing them down on my ZZR1400.

        Warned!!!!!

        Don't worry bulltulip site IMHO

This site is a commercial concern so if you are not happy with what they have posted about you ask them to remove it or see them in court for liable.

Huxley put my CV on iprofile without my permission although I am sure they would say that applying for a role gave them the right to.

I removed it and wrote to them saying that if my CV ever ended up there again I would be instructing my lawyers.

I would hit them with the Data Protection Act and demand to know what they hold on you.

We know that agencies can hit hard when this sort of stuff comes up about them, so you do the same...

...but seriously though, I wouldn't be too worried - their search engine is pants, you'd never find the people you were looking for...
