Remember agents are not terribly bright. I know I am one. We become agents because we are too thick to be lawyers, marketers, engineers or propeller heads. So when people like you come on to this site pretending to be an agent it is not hard for anyone with half a brain to see it. (the "blokesy laid back" chat gives it away)

What is more I would imagine that even in todays turmoil contractors are far more likely to get paid if they are direct than if going through an agency.

It doesnt take dynamite for brains to work out that most users of contractors are much bigger and much more established companies than recruitment agents. So trying to make an argument out of payment terms (I accept it may take longer with a "blue chip") is "pathetic"
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone

WHS...with bells on. This character was entertaining to begin with, but now it's just becoming annoying.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus

You build a network of contacts and be good at what you do. It's not hard.

Yep that would be a considered argument, well thought out, weighing up all sides of the argument and coming up with a conclusive if not quite consistent argument.

Good work DA, I would applaud you but cannot be bothered!

I guess that you are right on the first point - you agents are not terably bright.

The other points - you jsut repeat what I have pointed out earlier in this and other threads.

BTW - I once considered going direct with a blue chip that do a 3Bn turnover, and the D&B report highlighted the fact that they had a best case of 61 days to settle their invoices and a worst case of 16 months! Ill leave you to guess if I kept the agency on to handle this or not!

Why don't you just return as AtW and then we can end all this pretence.
