I am currently on contract via an agency (Badenoch & Clark).
My client manager onsite & I have discussed and agreed between ourselves that it would be ok for me to trade direct via my own ltd company.
This would benefit us both as I could earn more but charge less.
However I was told today that If I trade direct within 10 weeks of leaving the agency the client would have to pay them a "finders fee".
After 10 weeks trading direct would be ok, & now fines to pay.
Is this normal ? is it legal ?
Is there a way I can trade direct straight away, without the client having to pay this fee ?
