      Might have been me.

Running a team in the MoD I was recruiting an Analyst Programmer. I recruited Fred Bloggs from Agency X. Dart Resourcing phoned and said they had submitted Fred first; they had but for a DBA role 3 months earlier.

Dart Resourcing said they would sue us if we did not take Fred from them. I was directed by my senior civil servant manager to throw the CV in the bin and take my 2nd choice.

Everyone was upset; I contacted Fred personally to apologise and explain; he was as gutted as Agency X were.

However, when Dart offered to take me out for lunch a few weeks later, I had them take me to an expensive restaurant. What a pair of shiny-arsed, wide-boy spivs they were. At the end of the meal told them I had had them struck off the preferred supplier list for threatening us. One of the best days I have ever had in work, that was.

I have had two of those too.

This role is also shyte though so not worries.
I've had the same fella. had two contracts through Hays and both pimps been good guys.... but i've had some calls from supposed Hays recently from people I've never heard of and probably never will again.

They've either started a few new people or there are people pretending to be from their to damage their name instead of their own.

I have a couple of contacts at HAYS and they couldnt find the person or the role (it was with a formula 1 team which seemed odd as I am a Financial Services worker!!). Couldnt see the point of the call which lasted 15 mins.

              Any ideas???
I had a call about a formula 1 cotract too - somewhere over near Oxford I think. Was a while ago and it wasn.t Hays. Never heard any more and no job spec either
