They omitted to tell me about that one last time i spoke them about my account.Originally posted by blacjac View Post
Must say been otherwise impressed with HSBC though. The high interest account they give me to shift company cash into works out well and its easy to shift cash between the accounts. I've also not had anything nicked out of it, which is nice.Comment

I've been with Abbey just over a year (since before their big new e-banking system) and have been very happy. The new system is good and I don't mind a few teething problems, and the phone support has always been good for me.Originally posted by Incognito View PostHere's some advice, don't touch anything with the word 'Abbey' in it. Three months after locking me out of my business online banking, there are two accounts now showing instead of one, my debit card has been cancelled for some unkown reason and they're unable to issue me a new one or my last four months company statements as they don't have a copy of my signature on file???
HSBC account is in the final process of being set up. Oh, and you can pop into any branch instead of dealing with the monkeys at the other end of the phone with regards to Abbey.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

I have a "dirty" PC for everyday usage and a "clean" PC for accessing financial information. (It`s actually just the same PC but with a different boot disk plugged into a front panel caddy.)Comment

Oh and if you're a member of the FSB, you get free business banking with interest from the Co Op Bank. Ethical, too!Last edited by BolshieBastard; 31 March 2009, 19:40.I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

Still wouldn't stop someone at the bank selling your details on, which is what I suspect has happened in this case.Originally posted by dinker View PostI have a "dirty" PC for everyday usage and a "clean" PC for accessing financial information. Large amouts withdrawn from Abbey business account - twice in 6 months
I had large amounts withdrawn from Abbey business current and deposit accounts twice within six months. It was all too easy. Someone knew my security details, and used the internet to make payments to a third party with a Baltic republic sounding name. It was scary watching both accounts being set up to be cleared within a single day.
Abbey refunded the money quite quickly but insisted that the security lapse with my fault rather than theirs. I agreed to disagree and left to join Barclays, who are expensive (£18 per month) and only let you see the last 80 days of transactions online (Ha, Ha! That is so lame!), but they provide you with one of those RSA pin-reading calculator devices which you have to use to create third party payments, so in the light of my experience, the cost is acceptable.Comment
