If you know a reason why he should, then reply "yes, you should".
If you know that he should not, say "no, you should not".
If you know that it doesn't matter, say "it doesn't matter".
If you don't know, say "I don't know", or don't say anything.

You know the old joke about an "IT Answer".... ie It is 100% acurate but of no use to anyone...

I think that any one of your suggestions (or indeed any combination) would constitute an example of an "IT Answer"

Wow what a lot of fuss. I thought your first post was clear enough.

If you've got a new Master Agreement, you probably want to start numbering the new schedules to it from 1 again. Then, referencing the Master Agreement number on each new schedule should make it nice and clear.

Many contract issues come down to the wording. If you can't handle simple English, then hire a contract expert to handle your difficulties.

You can use anything you bloody want as a reference number.

So if I ever work for Huxley my invoices will state:

Our Ref: Hoaxley001

etc.

As long as you have a reference number. I got pulled up on one of my many HMRC investigations for not having reference numbers on my invoices!

Surely a date is enough of a reference.....
