    Contract Renew

    Hi All

Got the great news that a client wants to renew....

I am making a slight change to the contract in regards to invoicing terms, 28 days to 21 days.... So that would technically be a "new" contract, so should the schedule number should be reset to 1 ? Get my drift ? Even though from another prospective its actually my second load of work for them.

Sorry for asking such a simple question...

    Thanks

Your right about the testing part but usually you get a little more than "its broke" as feedback

Anyway do not worry about it. Have a nice day

I think you are assuming something as standard, when it isn't; so assuming that it doesn't have to be explained, when it does.

What is this "schedule" that you refer to?

              Fair enough...

Got a contract with a schedule... My understanding is that you can agree the contract and then just update the schedule as required. The schedule contain details about rates and the work to be done. The contract refers to the general legal stuff. I am using the PCG standard materials and time / direct contract. So if I wasn't going to change the contract we would simply update the schedule and renew. I presume most schedules are numbered. The first schedule was schedule number one. So I would just make this new schedule "number two".

I am proposing a change to the actual contract part... So would it make more sense to restart the number at the top of the schedule or keep the schedule number incrementing.

Hope that makes it a little more clear.

Hope that makes it a little more clear.
                Lets try this again....

                What is your question?

                Your first post had:
"...... so should the schedule number should be reset to 1 ?"
                and
                "Get my drift ?"

                Which could be considered "questions"
A1) should - by what criteria do you want me to judge "should"
A2) No - hence my initial response!

You final post "Hope that makes it a little more clear" - could be construed as a question - to which the answer is (still) No

It does. Does it matter? Does the contract not refer to "attached" schedule?

Or, to be more specific, what is the numbering for? (If anything). The precise answer to that should also tell you the answer to your question.

                    Probably not...

I was just wondering how you guys normally do it... Keeping your ducks in a row and all that...

Just trying to keep my affairs tidy. Sounds like I am being overly anal.

                    Thanks anyway...
