The MP may as well say that Blindness doesn't exist as well. Just because it is hidden, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Generally, my spelling is pretty good... but from time to time I will mis-spell a word on the grounds of diminished responsibilities.Originally posted by ratewhore View PostIf your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.Comment

Were they self built by the permies or are they the contractor's quick way out?Originally posted by zara_backdog View PostWatch out for the tunnels
Don't think you have a worry with this to be honest.

Don't see how they could. Must have happened with lots of people? I am in the same location, for CapG - good luck!Originally posted by pmeswani View PostThe problem is the fact that I am going to work for the same client... albeit in a different location. Just want to make sure that the good old HMRC won't see my contracting as a deliberate tax avoidance in order to secure a permie role (or whatever reason they chose)Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

Thanks. I did suspect that I would be ok... but just wanted to make sure if there were anyone else who were facing a similar position. If things go well, I might see you there.Originally posted by MaryPoppins View PostDon't see how they could. Must have happened with lots of people? i asked my accountant about going perm and the implications therof. apparently hmrc won't bat an eyelid and you'll probably have to deal with SA.
if you have a decent accountant they should sort the transition out for you and advise what to do with your limited, should you have one.Comment

Thanks for the info. Here's hoping that they won't try chasing me with the excuse of "unpaid taxes" and classing Dividends as a salary... etc. etc. Let's see how it goes.Originally posted by norrahe View Posti asked my accountant about going perm and the implications therof. apparently hmrc won't bat an eyelid and you'll probably have to deal with SA.
